Cloth Diaper Update

It’s been a week since we started cloth diapering and I’m here to say that so far, I love it! ⁣

I’ve only done 2 cloth diaper loads of laundry (we have a lot of diapers 👀), found what I think is a good wash routine thanks to some Facebook groups, and the babies are doing great with the transition. ⁣

There’s definitely still a lot of trial and error as I figure out the fit, how many inserts I should use (two seems to be good during the day), and what kinds of inserts to pair together. We have had a few leaks, but nothing that makes me think it’s the diaper or my wash routine. ⁣

Overnights have also been a little tricky, and I’ve admittedly kept Wilder in disposables overnight until I maybe find a solution that won’t make him feel the wetness and wake him up at 3AM. The other two are rocking it at night though, and I’m using around 3 inserts and my AI2 diapers at bedtime, which have seemed to have solved the overnight leaking. ⁣

If you have some advice on the types of inserts that pair well with each other, and maybe a better night time cloth diaper, I’m all ears! ⁣
